Guide
Getting started
You have an invitation, or you are about to. This page walks the same path the app walks you through: sign in, answer a short wizard, connect your body data if you want to, then give it two weeks.
Signing in
Meridian lives at meridianself.com/app, and the beta is invite-only: if you have not been invited yet, the sign-in screen says so rather than letting you create an account. Two ways in:
- Email code. Enter your address and we send you a one-time code, 8 digits, to type into the app. No password to invent, nothing to remember.
- Sign in with Apple. One tap, if you would rather not wait for an email.
If the code does not arrive, check your spam folder first; the support page covers the rest.
Your first minute
The very first screen offers three language pills: EN, IT, FR. Pick yours and everything that follows speaks it.
Then a short wizard asks up to 10 quick questions to set up your mirror. The device question comes first: if you wear an Oura ring or a WHOOP band, you can connect it right there, in the wizard itself. Tapping Connect sends you to Oura's or WHOOP's own sign-in page to approve it, then brings you straight back. And it is always skippable: skip it now and nothing is lost, you can connect later from Profile.
One question asks whether you wear your device while sleeping. It is worth a second of honesty: sleep is the strongest body signal Meridian has, and your device can only report the nights it was there for. Your answer tells Meridian how much weight your nights deserve.
Everything else is quick taps, and every question can be skipped. The wizard is a first sketch, not an exam.
Connecting body data
Body data is optional: Meridian works with nothing connected at all, and your daily check-ins remain the highest-signal thing it has. When you do want it, there are two paths:
- Oura and WHOOP connect directly, from the wizard or any time later from Profile → Data sources → Connect. You approve on the provider's own sign-in page and come straight back; syncing is automatic from then on.
- Apple Watch and other watches reach Meridian through Apple Health and a small iOS Shortcut. The shortcut link and your personal code are in the email titled Your Meridian beta access code, which arrives right after your first sign-in.
The connect guide walks through both paths in a few minutes.
Your first two weeks
If you connected a source, your first body rows appear the next morning: last night's sleep, yesterday's steps and resting heart rate, labelled with their source.
Patterns take a little longer, on purpose. After about 3 days of check-ins the first ones start forming, and after about two weeks a pattern that keeps repeating earns its "Consistent" label. Meridian would rather stay quiet than guess.
Where to get help
The support page covers signing in, syncs that stop, and exporting or deleting your data. For anything else, reply to your beta email: a person reads it and answers.
